Neither by Obiora Enedu.

...
There are two kinds of students in this world, student A and student B... Student A is a geek, spends his time reading, obedient to a fault, less friends and always with a BIC , has no social life, no social app people might even call him a freak!!
Student B... always on a social media, a lot of friends, a menace to society, he spends half  his day doing half the things society tags wrong, cares less about what you think and does not give a f**k about shit..people call him a *d**k cos he is cocky and shit...
Now close your eyes and and picture each of this students and tell me what you see??? Be honesty nobody's gonna judge you
Don't know if am student A or Student B.. am I a menace or am I a geek?? For most of my life have been caught in between who I really am and how am seen! Just cos I don't fit in, does not mean am weak, and I use to think fitting in was a blessing!!but honestly??its I CURSE...
cos if you don't fit in, you are forced to see the world from many different angles and points of view, you seek some level of understanding and unlike most people, feel unsatisfied when you sleep... you get lost in your thoughts. Many battles fought and lost with the demon inside you...

I never wanna fit in, wanna be different and weird, wanna be me and not worry about what you think, cos you see "life is shorter than you think" so be happy, be unique, don't follow the crowd, let the crowd follow you" and in place, that you find nobody following, take solace in the fact that the road to heaven is narrow and thin...

Chronicles of Love Story (1) by OBIORA ENENDU.

I remember when we 1st met ,it was 5years ago, she
I remember when we 1st met ,it was 5years ago, she was a 5'7 very short girl, she had this pimple free, very childish face that I had to chase, I remember that smile like it was yesterday cos of that very deep dimple.. with a simple hello she walked up to me and said "I Was Dared to come say I like your height"!!!!
She was stammering!, she could barely get the words right... she had this lovely set of teeth, as  bright as the sun, wow!! I was captivated immediately.. I tried with all my might to fight the urge to ask for her name but it was too late she was right before my very sight!!, My brain at no clue when my heart asked "WHAT'S YOUR NAME" ...yea I would blame my heart, cos there was this flame burning so much inside of me that chased logic out the window and left me valunrable and weak... I just had to know her!!! I met my own delilah!! Like SAMSON I was not strong enough to break free from her claw, she saw my flaws and yet loved me relentlessly, but shamelessly I let that love die...a mistake that have come to realize to be the greatest mistake anyone would ever make!! All am trying to say is... before you go feeling untop of the world cos that beautiful short girl gave you her heart cos you know your way with words! Know that for her she is giving you a piece of her that should never be taken for granted cos once that part of her which was taken for granted gets re-branded a trust is broken that can never ever be mended...

Czernobog by Awonaike Seyi

And you come to know or meet a devil
That detest the word "grave",
Evil in all ramifications ,
But prefers 'sleep' to 'death',
'Bed' to 'grave' ,
Not withstanding, he will certainly make  suffering the last resort ...
Merciful in weakness,
But not necessarily weak,
A devil no doubt with untold history of evil
But if evil can be undersized ,
Then his will be the or I would like to call him ,
The meek devil ,
Shy of his image but not wanting to change it.
To him it's a job he has to do.
And he does it with passion ,
Just the right amount of passion and glee ...

Alone by AHMED FATOYINBO.

I don’t call it a smile, if I smile alone
I don’t call it a progress, if we all don’t go ahead
I don’t want the sun to brighten only my yard alone
I don’t want the rain to just sing on my umbrella alone
I don’t want the knife to butter my bread alone
I don’t want the cloth to cover my nakedness alone
I don’t want my eyes to see the beauty of the world alone
I don’t want to get to the promise land alone
Because the world have always wanted to see how far we can go
I have always wanted to paint a picture that has us all in it, and not me alone
But there is one thing I’ve learnt in this short life of mine, that we can’t get all we wish
If all we wished were granted, I would’ve being an angel because the life of man is sorrowful
How can we be born together and not grow together
How can we be at the foot of a ladder together and can’t climb together
How can we start together and not end together
Humans cry too much, their lives and hearts are full of pain, hurt and tears
But thanks to the creator who made me human, for in those pain, we find love, in those tears we find joy, and in those weaknesses we find our strength
A faller is said to be fallen only if he fails to stand again. A man’s failure is not the end of his life. It is better to try to fail than to fail to try, for in that failure we learn from our mistakes
A gold wouldn’t show its lustre if it hadn’t passed through fire. Men wouldn’t have paean if they hadn’t gone through pain
The horse that is ahead must not  rejoice because it doesn’t know what is ahead
You might get to the promise land before me but it doesn’t mean you will forever be there
Life is a sphere, not everything it gives is fair, but with patience there is always a spare
So my brother, don’t fear, no condition is permanent.

Alone

I always thought I had it figured out, fly guy with much swag! Always a step ahead! Constantly in a dilemma to always wanna be the head, over thinking every situation even when they are just random coincidence! Every wrong choice have made seems like a debt I can never pay!

Frustration as taken me deeper, down a dark road of depression, always in constant tension! My mind a place of confusion, thinking straight is impossible, feels like am in a crazy maze! Constantly in need of attention! Not getting it leaves me in a more deeper depression...

The future does not look bright ,too many wrong decisions, wondering if I would ever get it right, tired of this fight! Thinking I might just quit..they say there's always light at the end of the tunnel, but it seems have been walking in this endless dark tunnel, its either that or my sight are permanently dark!! I have nightmares during the day, I find it hard to sleep at night.. insomnia my new bestfriend... over thinking my new side chick.... heart always racing....*Deep Sigh* I need help!!

The mission is to snap out of this mental regression but then again it feels like mission impossible, even Tom cruise can't save me! Ghost protocol activated... learn to wear your shame they said(it only makes you stronger) but stronger is no longer in my vocabulary, spirit as been crushed and I feel weak inside! Who ever thought a time would come when all I ever feel is ALONE!!!!!!

Soliloquy by Awonaike Seyi.

Death death is better than being here,

How will you proclaim me mad,

When my sanity beats harder

Wild with rage and not

Scratching the edges of the little red bleeding cells

But calm enough not  to explode

Mad isn't me and me isn't mad

Oblivious to the crickets noise

For am sane in my glad insanity.
