Christmas by Obiora Enendu .

Christmas

A time to share Love and Care
A time to share joy from here to there  ...  that's what they say but that's not my experience anyways , it seems like its the only time not to offend ,time spent to continue to pretend that joy is in the air and to remember that God truly exist....

Christmas is not bou a Christmas tree or wrapping gifts ,it's not bou shopping for cloths for that upcoming party that you spent 364 days preparing for , its not bou satisfaction on this very day ,it has nothing to do with your family fued or even the food , has nothing to do with a million plus lights or anticipation of 364 nights, nor does it have anything to do with you and me...

Christmas is bou how Jesus came to earth ,how a virgin gave birth without conception bringing forth a child marked for certain death cos of you and me , its the reconnoction we need as individuals to understand that our various lives are the construction of Gods master plan set in motion 2000years ago and as such we need to celebrate the glory in that story....

Christmas is Jesus and we've been too scared to say that we've gone from celebrating Christ to celebrating our wants, our desire and our addiction , we forget its a time for reflection on all the mistake we've made since the beginning of the year and preparation for the coming year, it is the reminder that we were made by a creator thats greater than your number one traitor(the devil)....

Believe in the miracle of the birth of our savior and don't be a cynical and  thoe the story might be historical , the birth of Jesus is still visble, open your eyes to the glory and ask God to change your story , no condition is permanent , forget all you've been through this year it's all a test for that testimony that would be given soon by you..

HAPPY HOLIDAYS & A GLORIOUS CHRISTMAS.....

Let's Play by Awonaike Seyi.

Lets Play.
Let's play,
Let's be kids again,
be hopeful and free,
and run around in the wind,
and consider all things vain.

Let's play,
so we can be ignorant in pain,
blissful amidst chaos,
to remember the innocent bravery in our hearts,
that equals the guts to hold a soldier's gun,
to make silly noises at the soldier's face.

Lets play,
and block out everything bad,
and playfully ignore the nagging fear,
in our hearts,
would be a start.

Death's sorrowful trail by Awonaike Seyi.

Death's sorrowful trail
By now, one would think you would be used to it,
The breaking news,
The shock and disbelieve,
But its never the same,
Just like our finger prints.

Death's sorrowful trail,
A warning, is mostly too much to ask
Painful or peaceful neither matters
Friend or foe it wears the same mask
You are doomed not to remember its striking yap

Death's sorrowful trail
And this time, it hit home
Nice one... touch down,
Yanking away our beloved
Too soon, too quick
Too painful
Giving yesterday a bleak meaning
And taking away tomorrow's hope,

Death's sorrowful trail...

To friends that will forever be friends...

Know Thy Self by Ahmed Fatoyinbo

A man is as he chooses to be,
Whether a pygmy or a colossus,
Whether a mountain or a valley,
Whether a serf or a lord.
The world truly evolves by natural selections,
And man really progresses by survival of the fittest.
Necessity is truly a mater of invention,
But the visionary mind is the matrix where you build the future.
Destiny seems to be a formidable force,
The rich always at his castle,
The poor man standing at his gate,
Yes, God made them high and lowly,
and ordered each of their estates.
Yet you can be as you desire,
With prayers and the work that's commensurate
You can transcend the imagination of your slayers
And show them how far you can sail.
Yes it is very possible, though I forget not,
That the Almighty is the giver of soul,
And that he is the writer of the slate
But no matter how strait is the gate,
Or how charged is the punishment in the scroll,
In the end, you just have to realize
That you are the master of your fate,
That you are the captain of your soul,
And just like William Henley's when things were vile
You have to know you are an INVICTUS,
And this must be from now at your prime..

Cultivate by Ogaga Okorhi.

Beautiful in hate, you have cried for pain running back and forth seeking a man.
Your specifications have made you the way you are
Looking unto the creator for perfection,
You derive more pleasure with makeup than you do to the man next door
Yet you pray, you can't identify the One before you as you have said from the beginning,
Your hate is eating you up taking away your inner beauty.
Clock is ticking, education you have not, skills you have none,
You are faced with a society that cares less about you,
Are you aimed at seating at home waiting for your specifics to be met(food, shelter, clothes, cars, husband)?
You must be foolish to think they fall from the sky
Even the church can't save you, it's not by good works my sister,
Do the right thing and everything would fall in place.

Hey! I heard you sew seeds for you perfect man,
Even the bible tells us, we ought to cultivate, if you had sense,
You would know that the one you seek cannot be found
Even in the most holy place,
Yes, I am talking about the church, you try to change a man, who just lost his ways
Don't forget, even the bible reminds you of how their ways are,
If you are not deeply rooted you would be a part of that way,
You love him for his cars and dirty job, beautiful!
But I see you in front of that alter, praying for a holy man with the fear of Our Lord Jesus.
How old is your faith little child?
It is important, you stay away from they that would take your salvation away
With their ways, you laugh at his jokes close to his car next to his house
And you think someday he won't offer you wine?
My friend, don't be fooled by the rules you have created around your life,
You and I know the truth.
Every man is a master mind of his craft,
To win the mouse you must know where to plant cheese.
Listen, I am in no position to tell you how to rock your boat,

Oops! I hear a whisper from the girl next to you
In mockery of the innocent bad girl you are,
Long skirt in the presence of the Lord and G-string in the arms of the craft man at night.
Hmmm! You become worse by the day whilst you pray you lose focus
And pray for the one at hand to be perfect.
Naive little woman old in your ways,

Beautiful in hate for age has come,
The alter is made your sanctuary
And the man who has money
In appearance is your perfect match,
Why then call on Jesus?

God's Gift by Obiora Enendu.

They say children are gifts from God, but I beg to
They say children are gifts from God, but I beg to differ... the true gifts from God are our parents and as much has it pains me to admit, we don't appreciate them enough and the older we get the more their value depreciate in our sight making us forget all the fight and struggle they've been through...

Its easy/pleasurable fathering a child, it's hard/painful bringing a child to life we all know the agony behind child birth( though some of us have not felt it yet)...but that pain and agnoy never stopped mothers from passing through the labour , because the gain out weighs the pain and she would never be the same if she lost the child, and in some cases, when she's not legally married but, that never stopped her from willingly giving up her life for the child....
Parents are the true blessings from God, and I don't mean just one, I mean the both of them... so take out time to really celebrate your parent, cbecause without being paid they've dedicated their time, love, care, money, and sometimes it feels like bad investment but they invest regardless, hoping for nothing but your success, but nevertheless they stick by your side even when life beats you down...they continue to remain your number one fan, friends come and go, siblings get married, only thing taken them from you is death! And I pray that God, keeps and preserve my parents for me so they can get to enjoy the fruit of their labour...

A little something for the Lady, by Ahmed Fatoyinbo

I ain't gonna say no if u ask me if I love u
And I ain't gonna say yes either,
But if u got deep eyes, u can always see my deep mind.
I ain't gonna take u to the beach when u ask me,
Or to the cinemas when u demand it,
But am gonna take u somewhere u will never forge,t
When u least expect it.
I may not be able to give u ur kinda slay,
But be sure I ain't gonna flay,
All I can do is the befitting play.
I do the needful,
I know am weird,
I ain't got the knack for Hollywood romance,
My kinda way is special and that's what makes me, ME.

Chimera by Awonaike Seyi.

She had  never wished to know more about the painter's brush more than now,

And never envied his beautiful words more than now,

And never thought to have his flexible hands more than now,

And never wished to be his plain canvass more than now,

For she  knew if she did posses his ability to use the paint brush,

All you would see, is her black that's never white, and her white that's almost black,

And if she knew his silent beautiful ways with words ,all you would hear, would be  a combination of spirals and zigzags ... maybe a splash here and there,

And what it would never lack is her depth, cause her aura is, indeed strong,

And if she did have his flexible hands as hers , then, believe me , her's would be on the high side of
abnormality,

But if, she was his plain canvass ,

This is what you would see...

Colors and all..

Shining grey... with radiant black and royal ash...

And it would be the most beautiful colors you would ever see.

Chronicles of Love Story (3) by OBIORA ENENDU.

Sleepless night since I got the news,it's  5:52 am

,*deep sigh* have been awake since 2:am, been thinking tirelessly , what am I gonna do??! I think ama address this fearlessly , no wait, what if she rejects you?? Are you sure this is a good idea?? Different thoughts been running through my mind endlessly, how did I carelessly let it get this far?emotionally, have beaten myself up mercilessly,  My fingers feel numb, can't seem to get the right words outta my head, I feel speechless right now, only one question keeps popping up,
"Is this fight worth it"?? Too many questions not a lot of answers...
She's been back for a whole month, 31 days to be precise, is it possible to resurrect something so dead? I used to be that guy that could get outta any jam, but right now am that bitch ass nigga putting his feelings in writing, seems like the right thing to do ...
Add 31 days to 365 days and it would give you how long have not seen her... again I ask " am I doing the right thing" is it not best I respect her wishes and give her space? This might just be a Test,
But however  the case may be, I just really need to say her face, have never been so frustrated in my entire existence, for instance, what if I go look for her today and get a huge disappointment, would it break my heart half the way I broke hers?
Well I guess I would never know till I find out....
With my fingers crossed I leave for Lagos in 3 hours.
Wish me luck.......

Hey Little Fighter by OBIORA ENENDU.

Hey Little Fighter
Soon things would get brighter, don't be broken, there's always light at the end of the tunnel, and tho this might just be words, at the end of the day you would see that am right, let go off all the worries,  don't let anything stop your sight from seeing the bigger picture, hold on tight to that dream of yours, scratch and bite if that's what it would take to achieve it, believe in yourself, nobody would do that for you, you owe yourself success and that is one debt you must pay...
Let go of all the sadness within, it only slows your progress, don't say, start doing, address the most important things , do not live to impress,  don't expect anything less than you deserve,  learn to suppress all negative emotions, nothing should ever make you regress mentally, don't stay depressed too long, it only gives you unneeded stress, and I know for sure that the God would continue to bless you in a way that would make many question your success...

Chronicles of Love Story (2) by ATILA .

''Yes'' was her reply when he asked if she wanted to see . Tho she had never said no,yet he keeps asking before showing her. Never taking for granted her responses
And then again she said yes , knowing she would see something worth her while . He shows her and she reads it and it broke her heart cause it was about a girl and for the first time she wished she was some inches shorter with dimpled checks.
She envied her , but then again she pitied her and loved her .
Envied her because, She had felt his love ,
Pitied her because , She couldn't make it last no doubt leaving her heartbroken and ,
Loved her because  , She accepted him for who he was cause she knew then, what she knows now and accepted it, with glee in her heart and love in her smile .
That was when she realized how stupid he should be, to have had her and let her go and how stupid he still is to have her and still not know .
But that didn't diminish her love for him , no, neither did it strengthen it .
It only tainted it making it clear, to his loneliness for truly he is alone ...
